Anonymous asked: You chose to further the trope. You could have chosen to give Emma weapons. Even the show gives her swords and guns, and doesn't have her parading around in her underwear while David saves the day.
There is something called… “doing the things your way” —- and I did it my way. Those manips are not suposed to imply that women in them are in any way “less” than men.
It’s from the comic book/movie for Christ sake!
I use pictures that were similar to the heroes in the original movie… beautiful latina Rosario Dawson poster —- lana Parrilla poster… amazing blonde Jessica Alba - Jen Morrison… sassy brunette Alexis Bledel poster —- Ginny Goodwin poster…. simply as that.
Did You ever saw Sin City movie???
WOMAN IN SIN CITY MOVIE ARE THE STRONGEST CHARACTERS IN IT!!!
You’ve got Gale —- ruling the bad part of town…. You’ve got Nancy —- who endure extereme situations… You’ve got tough as nails Miho —- most badass warior EVER…. and all the others.
Posters are just posters…
They are not diminish women… they just alowing to see small… tiny glimpses of them. Anyone who saw the movie know that.
You say give Emma a gun?
I say there is no need.
Because it is all it is… just simple freaking manip/poster… not an attack on women or lousy try to make them look “less”…
Simple as that.
Anonymous asked: Why are the women all dressed provocatively and all the guys fully clothed with weapons? It sends a really poor message that women are nothing more than sex objects and damsels in distress, waiting to be won/saved by the dude with gun.
Are You serious? ;)
Sin City? Movie posters? Whole comic book/movie message?
Ring any bells? :)
